The band's logo in text format is stylized as '/W\'.

Swollen Teeth was created by Slipknot's DJ Sid Wilson and producer Ross Robinson. The new EP was produced by Wilson at his farm studio out in Iowa, purposely mirroring the Indigo Ranch studio compound in Malibu, where Slipknot recorded their first two albums.

The self-titled EP was also released via the brand new label, Blowed Out Records. Robinson kick-started this new label with Ghostemane mastermind, Eric Whitney and former SideOneDummy Records owner Bill Armstrong.

The band are known for having four masked, anonymous members. The location where they are based has not been publicly revealed.
