Conceived in fire, from the ashes of The Albino Spiders, is the cult Switchblade Saturdays (formed in 2010). An ambitiously hard-hitting band, well-travelled, with a strong foundation within their home base, Des Moines, IA. Switchblade Saturdays is known for their amazing live show, dark imagery and stage presence with a passionate background anthem haunting of love, loss, death, and life.
Switchblade Saturdays' demo track 'Zed's Dead' is in the cult classic independent zombie movie 'Escape From The Dead'. The band was asked to film a video of the song as part of the collector DVD.
Switchblade Saturdays do a cover of Slipknot's song '(Sic)' which appears as the seventh track on the 'Two Of Nine: Global Slipknot Tribute Album' (2021). This album was put together by Quazar Studios to celebrate the life of Joey Jordison and Paul Gray. Bands from across the world that have grown up listening to, or have been influenced/inspired by Slipknot have come together to cover all of your favorite, most loved Slipknot tracks in their own unique way! All proceeds made on this album will go to National Voices charity in aid of Transverse Myelitis (the condition Joey suffered from before his passing).
