Pervasive conjecture, informed by comments made by James and Clown in the press, is that the purpose of this project would be to finally present to the public what I call the "Lost Recordings" (original, I know) from the *AHIG* sessions that got shelved and didn't make it onto the album. I won't bother repeating the popular speculation on how or why a few band members felt compelled to work on material separate from the rest of the band. I will say that the theory that Her Voice might be the vehicle for the release of this material gained traction because, in their statements to the press during the promotional cycle for *AHIG,* James and Clown expressed interest in finding some sort of avenue to eventually formally release that material - and they didn't seem dead-set on Slipknot being the vehicle to achieve that end."

There is a set of 11 previously unreleased songs recorded by four members of Slipknot during the sessions for its 2008 album 'All Hope Is Gone'. Percussionist Shawn 'Clown' Crahan originally revealed the existence of the music, saying that he, vocalist Corey Taylor, guitarist Jim Root, and DJ Sid Wilson wrote and laid down the more psychedelic-flavored tunes at a separate studio during an impasse in the recording of the album. It has since been announced that this material will release under Slipknot (and not a separate project as previously hinted), and the album is tentatively called 'Look Outside Your Window'. One of the songs from this album was ''Til We Die', which surfaced on the digipak of 'All Hope Is Gone', but the rest have yet to see the light of day.
