Through the years, The Hong Kong Sleepover has grown and evolved their sound into a genre one could perhaps call 'beer metal'.

If you put the over-produced bands of today and their mindless slobbering drones of faux-metalheads into a room and lit it on fire, the members of The Hong Kong Sleepover would be the four guys outside drinking Miller High Life, shooting off automatic weapons, and roasting marshmallows over the open flames. Feel free to include any dime-a-dozen, cookie-cutter band that has left their skid marks on the under garments of the corporate music industry into that room... they'll find space... and they have plenty of lighter fluid and ammunition.

In the band's music video for the song 'Boomstick', the intro song is Nest Of Snakes' 'Contagious Rust'.
