The Blood Smile hails from Des Moines, Iowa and is the musical vision of vocalist/guitarist, Adam Clark and drummer, Jesse Hernandez. Clark and Hernandez met around 1997 and since then have performed under various band names including Shiloh Church and Witches Of Weir, and have self-released 6 albums. Clark and Hernandez consider The Blood Smile to be a "bastard son" to the 80's and 90's punk-rooted aesthetics proudly displayed in bands like The Misfits, Type O Negative, Ween, Sonic Youth, Pixies, Dead Kennedys, Nirvana, Butthole Surfers, NIN, Guttermouth, Marilyn Manson and many others.
