Black Flood Diesel was formed in the year 2000 by founding member Greg Moog.

Former Black Flood Diesel guitarist Bryan Ottoson joined American Head Charge in place of Wayne Kile, in early April 2002.

The band's album, 'Chaos Saves', was co-produced with Steve Felton of Mushroomhead.

Waylon Reavis, the vocalist for Mushroomhead, was a featured vocalist for a song titled 'Open Wide' by Black Flood Diesel.
